Glendy and Mauricio were surrounded by friends and family from Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and the Coachella Valley.  It was great to see how they beautifully involved God in every aspect of the wedding. 

Glendy and Mauricio’s wedding had a rustic theme that fits perfectly with the Joshua Tree wedding venue and desert backdrop.  The wedding coordinator Mechelle Williams from Chaise Moments made sure that the wedding went off without a hitch. The wedding included rustic apple crates with beautiful flower arrangements.  All the tables had rustic wood slices that showed the rugged tree bark.  The wedding bouquets and center table flower arrangements had a deep burgundy, pink and white flowers to complement the rustic wedding theme.  Glendy and Mechelle did a great job planning and coordinating the wedding.

Glendy wore one of the most amazing wedding dresses I have ever seen. The wedding dress was from a designer at the Essence of Australia in Los Angeles.  I loved the color and how it complimented everything about the wedding. 

The best thing about Glendy and Mauricio’s wedding has nothing to do with the wedding dress, wedding venue, and the rustic theme…. instead, it was all the love that you felt from all of their friends and family.  The best man and maid of honor speeches were very touching and personal.

 As a wedding photographer, I have the privilege of standing back and see everything unfold.  It was great to see all the love that day and see how everyone was happy and excited for the bride and groom.

Amy and Chris’s wedding was several years in the making.  Amy and Chris met several years ago, they were friends for a while then they went their separate ways.  As destiny would have it, they ran into each other and reconnected.  During a trip to Hawaii Chris and Amy’s love blossomed and they were engaged.  It is evident how much Chris loves Amy and Harlow (Amy’s daughter).  During the wedding ceremony Chris dropped to a knee and asked Harlow to be his daughter, she said yes and gave Chris a huge hug.  At that moment my eyes started sweating ;).

We were blessed with some beautiful skies that night.  The wedding pictures we captured are beautiful.  This is one of the reasons that although Amy and Chris live in the bay area they chose a Palm Springs wedding venue.  As a Palm Springs wedding  photographer I knew that Amy really wanted to see the beautiful sky in her wedding pictures and that is why we use the best lighting system.  I love natural light photography but you can’t get those beautiful skies without using great lighting.  I can say that Amy and Chris loved their wedding pictures.

We have several Palm Springs Venues here that are great for destination weddings however the Mission Hills Country club has been recently redesigned and offers great views of the San Jacinto mountains.   They have a wonderful wedding coordinator named Tiffani Johnston.  She is very knowledgeable and will help you plan your perfect Palm Springs Wedding.

Melinda and John made every effort to make their wedding day elegant and classic. When I was hired as the wedding photographer, they told me they did not want anything too out of the box and although they liked my creative wedding pictures they wanted to focus on a classic look. This Coachella wedding was held in a beautiful ranch.

They were both so nervous when I saw them. Though everything was traditional, they followed my suggestion to see each other prior to the ceremony. This was awesome! It allowed me more time with them, as the ceremony was late.   This is not always possible because for some couples tradition trumps all but for this couple they were interested in having images with lots of light.

Melinda and John wanted to start their day at the La Quinta park which is lovely and traditional. I was looking for something that would give them a classic timeless look while pushing the envelope slightly.  Once we were done with the park pictures, I asked Melinda if she would let me take them to an abandoned restaurant. Initially she was a little reluctant about that idea but once she received her images those were her favorite.

As an experienced wedding photographer, it is my job to give every couple what they want, and sometimes push them towards something they might not have known they wanted.
